Xtralp is a platform that connects individuals and families with verified, independent Companions for everyday non-medical help. Whether you need a friendly visit, someone to help with a meal, light tidying, or garden upkeep — Xtralp makes it easy to find the right person and book in just a few taps.
No. All services available through Xtralp are non-medical and non-clinical. Companions are independent community helpers, not certified healthcare professionals. For medical assistance, please contact a licensed healthcare provider or call 911.
Xtralp is currently launching in select regions across the United States. Download the app to check if service is available in your area. We're growing quickly and adding new locations regularly.
Search "Xtralp" in the Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play Store (Android). The app is free to download. Once installed, choose your role — Member, Companion, or Care Circle — and complete your profile.
Your Companion uses the app to mark when they arrive and when the visit is complete. When they tap "I've Arrived," the timer starts. When they tap "Visit Complete," the timer stops. This is how your billing is calculated — you're only charged for the time your Companion is with you.
Anyone who needs everyday non-medical help. This includes older adults, people recovering from surgery, busy professionals, new parents, and anyone who could use a helping hand at home or with everyday activities.
After creating your Member profile, browse the services available through Xtralp, pick a time, and select a Companion from those available near you. You book directly — no one is assigned to you. Payment is collected at the time of booking.
Yes. You browse and book directly — you choose your Companion. Read their profile, check their ratings, and pick whoever feels like the right fit. If you find a Companion you love, you can request them for future visits.
Xtralp collects your name, contact details, address, and any lifestyle preferences you choose to share — such as favourite activities, food preferences for Meal Prep visits, or pets in your home. We do not collect medical records, health data, or clinical information. Sharing preferences is entirely optional.
Rates range from $24–$29/hr depending on the service. Social Support, Reading Companion, and Game & Activity Partner start from $24/hr. Light Plant & Garden Help from $26/hr. Home Tidying, Meal Prep, and Holiday Decoration from $26/hr. You'll always see the exact rate before confirming a booking.
You can cancel or reschedule bookings through the app. Please refer to our cancellation policy in the app for details on notice periods and any applicable fees.
After you submit your application, our team reviews it and you'll receive an email update within 2–3 business days. Your application status is also visible in your Companion dashboard inside the app.
You'll need to upload clear photos of the front and back of a valid government-issued photo ID. You'll also need to read and sign a Background Check Authorization. We do not collect Social Security Numbers — identity verification is handled securely by our trusted partners.
Payments are processed securely through the app after each completed visit. When you tap "Visit Complete," the visit timer stops and your payment is triggered. Payout details are set up during onboarding through our trusted payment partner.
Absolutely. You choose your availability and only accept bookings that work for your schedule. Members book you directly — you're never assigned or sent anywhere without accepting first.
Yes — that's exactly what Care Circle is for. You can invite multiple trusted family members or friends to the Care Circle, each with their own app access, so coordination is shared and everyone stays informed.
No. As a Care Circle coordinator, you can set up and manage all aspects of their visits on their behalf. They don't need their own account unless they want one.
Any trusted person — spouse, child, sibling, friend, niece, nephew, or any other relationship. When adding someone, select their relationship from the list or choose "Other" and specify your connection.
